In greek tragedy everything is beautiful: the actor, the setting, the music, the text… the actor shows outstanding qualities: light and soft movements, a terrific voice, a stunning presence… the beauty of the actor is combined with the fierceness of barbarian.
The feeling that death is near is always present – no mask, no artificial figure can exist in greek tragedy. The play is direct, wonderfully human, and without compromise.
This workshop is an wonderful platform to improve and learn how to apply the the emotions directly and outright to the play. Space- and group awareness, sensitivity and pleasure are a fundamental part of this workshop. The actor finds his personal and direct access to his emotions without psychological analyzes, but in a light and joyful way and learns how to share his vivid emotional play with the audience. …let yourself be touched and you will touch your audience!
Movement: The lesson starts every day with a group and movement training of 1,5 hours.
Elements of acrobatics- partner and single (everybody, no matter which age or size, can do it!), awareness-training, energetic dance, stretching- and relaxation exercises, group work, Pilates, Shiatsu and Feldenkrais are used for this training. The movement class is specially designed for the following acting class and is an indispensable part of the workshop.
Please bring comfortable and elegant, clothing. Number of participants: max. 15 p. Classes will be held in English. Translations into German, French, Italian and Spanish can be made.
